Socolofi Research was founded in 2010 in Cambridge by Michael Fishpool to offer a range of high-quality research and editorial services.

Michael is a writer and analyst with extensive editorial experience within the publishing industry accumulated over a 20-year period.

He kicked off his writing career in 1991 as a freelance journalist. In 2000, he founded the world's first website specifically focussing solely on European politics, defence and security, later providing analytical reports to leading international defence companies, organisations, academia, think-tanks and government agencies.

Prior to this he had a three-year stint as a managing editor, writing and editing for print and the Internet articles and business intelligence reports covering more than 150 countries and territories in the world. He is a graduate of the University of Wales, Aberystwyth where he studied international politics and history.

Michael currently continues to supply high-quality reports to the US government and major international companies.
